The Marketing Intern will work with the FIU Athletics marketing department to generate excitement and awareness of FIU Athletics in order to secure more involvement from students, faculty and staff, alumni, and community members. The goal of this internship is to develop and execute marketing promotions that will help build and enhance the fan experience at all necessary FIU athletic events including games, on and off campus promotions, and various community events. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Assisting in the creation and execution of off-field marketing strategies, efforts and ideas that are geared towards increasing and developing student, alumni, staff, faculty, and community involvement with FIU Athletics.
• Creating and executing promotions to build the FIU Athletics support within student, alumni, staff, faculty, and community.
• Developing and implementing communications designed to increase the marketing of all FIU- Athletics teams.
• Promoting, coordinating, and executing the student rewards program at various sporting events
• Promote games and upcoming sporting events on MMC and BBC campus through grassroots marketing (signage, handouts, tabling events, visiting various department) campaigns.
This position reports directly to the Assistant Athletic Director for Marketing and Promotions.
