Marketing, HR and PR Internships Available with Switchboard of Miami

We have been asked to distribute information on the following for-credit internships available with Switchboard of Miami, a local non-profit that has operated in Miami for over 40 years. The organization has positions available in Marketing, Human Resources and Public Relations. Needed – (3) Intern positions
Switchboard of Miami, Inc., 190 NE 3rd Street, Miami, 33132. Near Metro Mover Bayside Station. Parking provided. High energy, team-oriented environment. Excellent learning opportunity while providing a fundamentally important community service. Experiential training combined with supervision by highly-skilled Director-level individuals. Flexible to meet the needs of the potential intern and FIU’s requirements. No stipend. All candidates must: Must be computer proficient, have basic telephone skills, be willing to undergo a background check, sign a code of conduct and able to maintain confidentiality in all matters.

Intern #1 – Marketing
Assist with prints, publications and e-marketing materials, all aspects of event planning, relationship planning and cultivation, donor management and more. Interact with staff, volunteers, other interns and community leaders.

Intern #2 - Human Resources
Assist Human Resources department with recruitment and hiring processes for volunteers, interns and paid staff. Participate in interviewing, background checks, reference checks, HR compliance audits and so on. Assist with the internal training planning and productions. Interact with staff, volunteers, other interns and community leaders.

Intern #3 – Public Relations
Assist with developing community awareness plans and participate in activities. Assist with media relations. Participate in press conferences and more. Interact with staff, volunteers, other interns and community leaders.
